Opening‑Closing Standing Qigong is a living dynamic stance, the core foundation of Tai Chi & internal arts. Home‑practice course for all beginners.
- Full course description
Unlike static still‑standing stances, Opening‑Closing Zhuang Gong is a “living dynamic stance”. It combines stable standing posture with slow opening‑closing movements of arms, torso and breath.
Opening represents Yang: energy expands outward; Closing represents Yin: energy gathers inward toward the lower dantian. True practice is not merely waving hands. The waist drives the limbs, every opening‑closing originates from the dantian.
Long‑term sitting, mental pressure and scattered energy often cause disjointed movement, tight chest‑shoulders and unstable lower body. This lesson teaches you to connect your hands, waist, hips and breath as one whole unit. You will learn to feel internal energy circulation without hard force or forced imagination. All movements are soft and safe for new practitioners.
What you will learn
‑ Basic stance setup: feet‑shoulder‑width, relaxed knees, upright spine, sinking shoulders
‑ Correct arm‑holding posture, keep armpits hollow (like holding a virtual ball)
‑ Whole‑body opening‑closing technique: waist drives hands, not isolated arm movement
‑ Breathing rule: inhale for opening, exhale for closing
‑ How to feel dantian movement, avoid stiff, mechanical hand‑waving
‑ Common beginner mistakes: shrugging shoulders, locking knees, over‑sinking hips, holding breath
‑ Short daily home‑practice routine (8‑12 minutes)
